Hi again :) This week was good we had some pretty
interesting experiences. On Thursday we had a multi zone conference which was
absolutely incredible. The zone leaders decided to send us a text message right
before 10:30 saying that my companion and I will be doing a practice in front
of everyone and that it must me powerful. Ahhh. Ya thank you for picking the
weakest. But it turned out okay and I actually learned a lot from the practice
and President was able to help me a loooot.

This week we had an interesting experience. So we were
walking down the street and a little bit ahead of us I saw this girl fall to
the ground and she was holding her stomach so we rushed over to help her out.
Come to find out that she is a member but has been inactive for 20 years. She
was drinking so she was a little off but was very honest. She told us that she
saw us walking and started to laugh at us and then that’s when she got a pain
in her stomach. Carma :/ I think Heavenly Father struck her down for a sec. no I’m
just kidding but everything happens for a reason.
So we walked her home and she told us everything. I
still can’t believe everything she has gone through in her life and I know that
she will come back to church soon. That same night we were talking with one of
our investigators and she was with a friend who happened to be the drunk lady’s
daughter. What are the odds?? So we are working on teaching this family :)
Two of our investigators have had a lot of challenges
this week. Evenlin has been so willing to keep all of her commitments and is
very prepared for her baptism. Sadly she had lots of problems with her family
on Sunday and so now we have to postpone her baptism another week. She is
separated from the father of her children but he still lives in the same house.
So when we taught the Law of Chastity she quickly started to look for a new
house. So we are praying really hard for her that everything will work out. But
I know it will!
So yesterday we were really low on numbers of new
investigators we had found for the week so we were determined to find at least
3 more and we both remembered the Bishop talking about this lady who was his
neighbor when he was growing up. So we called him and he told us mas o menos
where it was. But directions here are horrible, so I really didn’t have a clue
where to go. So we just started walking and I asked this one random house if
they knew where someone named Yamilet lives. And then a lady from behind said that’s
me how can I serve you?
So yep we found the cutest little grandma (besides my grandma’s
obvi). She invited us in and we began to talk. She really is such an angel and
will be an amazing future Relief Society pres. As we were talking I glanced
down at her hand and saw a CTR ring. WHAT? At first I thought okay is this a
prank? So I said to her, “Look we have the same ring.” And she said that she
had found in the high school that is next to her house and that it’s a great
reminder every day. We had a great lesson with her and she is open to pray to
see if our church is true. I’ll have to send you all a picture of her next
week.
I’m so grateful to be
serving in Ciudad Colon. It really is like heaven city. Best area in the world
:) It’s going to be a rough day when I have to leave this place. I love you all
and miss you lots :) I’m so grateful to be a missionary. This is the Lord’s
church. Jesus is the Christ. Thanks to His infinite love we can change, we can
become like Him. Our daily decisions will determine our destiny!! :)
Love always
Hermana Fowler

both more than words can express!!! You will be in my thoughts and I’ll be
