Transfers

I hardly have anytime this week and this key board is such a stinker so I apologize in advance. On Thursday we found out that my companion had transfers. They called around 6 so the goodbyes were really hard for Hermana Mazariego. It broke my heart. I still would prefer to just not say goodbye, sorry if that’s bad.
So on Friday we had to wake up at 3 to go to and drop off her luggage before our meeting. The meeting was amazing and was for the whole mission!!! I got to see Rachel and it really was something I needed. It was so fun to see all my friends from the MTC. I feel like they are family.
The Presidency of the area talked and did an amazing job. A part that I liked a loooot was when he said that we aren’t perfect but we are worthy. And the difference between perfect and worthy isn’t a huge gap. I’ve realized that sometimes I justify myself for that saying "no one is perfect." But we can always be perfect in little things. He then talked about the importance of developing traditions and that there are only two types of traditions, eternal traditions and false traditions. It opened my eyes a lot about the importance of being completely obedient to all the commandments. And that when we justify a commandment we are creating false traditions.
My new companion is Hermana Martinez. Still only Latina companions yaaaay. She is from Guatemala. On Friday we took a picture with the whole mission and my companion was the shortest and I was one of the tallest. She’s gotta be like 4 9´ or something. She’s a cutie. She only has two more transfers sad huh? So I’m determined to make these last two transfers the best I can for her.

It was extremely hard for Hermana Mazariego to leave because we literally worked soooo incredibly hard with Amalia and Roger and she got transferred the day before their wedding. She still had a really good attitude about it. What a champ. The wedding was sooo great. Amalia is such a cutie. This was the first time I had seen her in a dress and make up and the first thing she said to me is I have never been so uncomfortable. But I could tell she was so happy. The baptism was right after which was such a spiritual experience for everyone in the room. The chapel was completely full it was great. While I was washing the dishes this woman came to help me and we had a great conversation. We have a family night with her tonight and hope that she will be the next to get married and then baptized!!! Amalia and Roger bore their testimonies on Sunday. Amalia talked about how much she regrets waiting so long to take this step. They really are such amazing investigators. And it was perfect for all the investigators in sacrament meeting
This Thursday is Daniel’s baptism! Please pray for him and that everything will work out. We have faced a lot of challenges with the mom but this morning we woke up at 4:30 to get her signature. I learned more about the power of prayer and fasting this morning. We dedicated a fast for Daniel and that his mom’s heart would be softened. After the wedding we were able to visit his mom. I shared an experience about Ben and how good of a kid he is.
Maria’s baptism got changed to this Saturday because all the priesthood had a meeting for the stake in the morning. Later on Sunday we had a lesson with her and she told us how everyday she studies her scriptures for an hour and is learning a lot from the Book of Mormon. It seriously is such a privilege to watch these people progress and strengthen my testimony. I love that there are so many people prepared for our message and I am so grateful that the Lord has blessed me with being about to know these people. I know that I am weak and that I have a lot to learn. I know that the Lord is my strength and I am so grateful for His patience with me!! I love you all and am praying that you all can have spiritual experiences every day and enjoy the happiness of the gospel!!

Love always,

Hermana Fowler
